Adrienne Gilbert, BC-HIS

Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
Adrienne is a NYS licensed hearing aid specialist. After several years of working in the travel industry, Adrienne felt compelled to make a change. She wanted to continue in the service industry but this time by helping others improve their quality of life. She later joined the hearing health care industry, became an HIS and then eventually became a clinic owner.

Sean O'Brien, BC-HIS

Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
Sean is a Nationally Board-Certified Hearing Aid Dispenser licensed to practice in New York State. He has over 30 years of experience in audiometric testing, verification, and hearing aid fitting. Sean was raised in the hearing care industry with his family who owned and operated O'Brien's Hearing Center in Elmira, NY for over 40 years. Sean joined the staff of Twin Tiers Hearing Aid Clinic in 2025 so that he can focus on what he loves to do most, taking care of his patients. He is the main provider in our Elmira, NY clinic.

Jaime Schoonover

Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
I recently started working at the Hearing Aid Shop in November of 2024. Although I am new to the hearing aid field I have a diverse background in direct care, clinical care, and supervisory experience. I started working with people with disabilities soon after I graduated from college and remained in that profession for 26 years. I have enjoyed learning about hearing health and the importance of treating hearing loss. I am committed to giving our patients and their families the best possible experience as we assist them with learning about their hearing needs.

I live nearby in Eldred, PA. I have been married for 25 years and have two beautiful daughters. In my free time I enjoy running, hiking, boating, reading, and spending time with my family.

Tom Caruso

BC-HIS

Thomas Caruso is a second-generation, Nationally Board Certified Hearing Healthcare Dispensing Practitioner with over 40 years of experience serving patients in both New York and Pennsylvania. Specializing in adult hearing care, he earned his National Board Certification in Hearing Instrument Sciences in 1988.


Throughout his distinguished career, Thomas has not only provided exceptional patient care but has also contributed to the advancement of the hearing healthcare field. He has served as an educator and consultant to many of the nation’s leading hearing aid manufacturers, retailers and laboratories, sharing his knowledge and expertise to help shape best practices within the profession. His work has taken him across the United States and Canada.


Born and raised in Jamestown, New York—where he continues to reside with his family—Thomas has been a dedicated member of the International Hearing Society since 1984 and is actively involved in the Hearing Healthcare Alliance of New York State. His commitment to the profession, combined with his decades of experience, has made him a trusted and respected leader in hearing healthcare.
